As is known, corruption in our days stands as a genuine scourge that affects the entire region, with consequences at the social, economic, political, and legal levels. This work will be addressed, above all, from a legal and criminal perspective, since consequences arise, especially in the criminal sphere, from corrupt practices.
The issue of the legal aspects of the fight against corruption can be approached in different ways. In this work, it is tackled from the viewpoint of its economic impact, especially concerning socio-economic matters such as competition, the free market, public procurement or state purchases, the criminal responsibility of legal entities, compliance programs, both public and private, among others.
